Classed as an “Outstanding” school by Ofsted in October 2007, Denbigh High School is an 11-16 mixed community school with 1119 students, located in Luton, Bedfordshire.

We can point to a decade-long record of year-on-year achievement at GCSE, during which time the proportion of our students gaining 5 or more, good GCSEs has more than quadrupled.

Our contextual value-added score for progress from key stages 2 to 4 has put us in the top ten of state comprehensives for the second year running.

Our commitment to developing literacy and numeracy is part of an uncompromising focus on achievement in the core subject areas and our students are constantly learning the valuable skills that are required in order for them to become active and informed citizens who take responsibility for themselves and their communities.

An Ofsted inspection for Citizenship in February 2007 found our overall effectiveness in this area to be "Outstanding".

Our core value statement "High achievement for all is our shared responsibility" is an expression of our commitment towards ensuring that every child receives a personalised learning experience and that the whole school works together to achieve this.
