In the Mix! young people's media event

Animation, sound-recording, visual arts and moving image were amongst the workshops offered at the In the Mix! young people's media event held at Beaumont College on Saturday 10 May. Young people and advisers from Beaumont College, Connexions Cumbria and Blackpool converged on Beaumont College in Lancaster for In the MIX! - a full day of creative media activities. All young people who attended have either recently completed, or are currently doing their Arts Awards.

The project was made possible by support from Arts Council England, North West.

In the Mix! workshops were led by experienced arts professionals and included:

Visual Arts - with PRESCAP artist Chantal Oakes
Sound Recording - with Preston FM's Darren Jenkinson
Digital Animation - with Folly artist Mark Piklington
Moving Image - with Folly artist Adam Clarke
