Bearman Family

Alexandra, age 9 and twins Scarlett and Lochlan, age 6 live in Epping, Essex. They have all been acting and modelling since they were babies. Here, (with a little help from their mummy on typing duty), they tell us about their adventures.

You've all appeared in magazines and catalogues. Can you remember anything about your first photo shoot?
No, because we’ve all been doing this since we were really little. Scarlett’s first job was for The Times magazine.

How old were each of you when you did your first modelling job?
Scarlett and Lochlan were about 6 months old, and Alexandra was about 2 years old.

What do you enjoy most about modelling?
Alexandra likes the make-up, Scarlett likes smiling and Lochlan likes playing with the toys!

Have you ever done any filming?
Yes, Alexandra was in the Universal DVD commercial at Christmas, and both girls filmed a commercial for a shopping centre in Ireland.

Do you ever get nervous about being the centre of attention and having the cameras pointing at you?
Lochlan gets nervous at the start of a job but once he knows the people then it becomes fun. Scarlett and Alexandra say that they don’t get nervous, they love the attention!

Do your friends and teachers know about what you do? Are they interested?
Yes, the school has been very good letting us take time off. Some children can get a bit jealous but all our friends like seeing us in catalogues and things.

What’s the hardest part about being a model?
Lochlan thinks it’s hard to meet new people. Alexandra and Scarlett think it can be really really boring when in between photo shoots as there’s lots of hanging around waiting for your turn.
