1000 Arts Awards have now been awarded to young people from the North West region.

Congratulations to all those young people from youth theatres, art galleries, Pupil Referral Units, community arts projects, schools, youth orchestras and many other settings who have achieved their Arts Awards over the past couple of years! Congratulations also to all the advisers and centres across the region which have supported young people on their Arts Award journeys!

To celebrate this milestone and the first ever national Shine Festival, PRESCAP (Preston Community Arts Project) commissioned professional photographer Nigel Hillier to document just a few of the Arts Award projects which have been taking place in North West Schools. PRESCAP is the North West Arts Award regional agency.

The variety and energy of the images captured by Nigel are evidence of the range and quality of Arts Award activities currently taking place in schools across the North West region.

PRESCAP would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone who has been part of this achievement to date!
